July 2016: Visioning workshops held with stakeholders
Initial ideas for the Big Town Plan were formulated with key stakeholders.

September 2017: Shrewsbury Big Town Plan consultation shop is open to the public at 80 Wyle Cop
The shop space was open 7am – 6pm, seven days a week for members of the public to visit and read the outline ideas and plan and provide their thoughts and feedback on post-it notes.
More than 5,000 people visited the shop and around 2,500 post-its were collected at the end of the three weeks.


March 2018 – Masterplanning week with stakeholders
Stakeholders were invited back to workshops on the key themes of the Big Town Plan, to shape the next stage of the project.
The three days culminated in a round-up presentation by LDA Design.


September 2018 – Second public consultation at St Mary’s Church


December 2018 – Big Town Plan vision agreed by Shropshire Council Cabinet, Shrewsbury Town Council and Shrewsbury BID Board.
The partners have agreed to fund and continue the Big Town Plan partnership until at least 2022.
